Ross and I have just come back from Edinburgh, I had a complimentary staff stay with work so made the most of it and went to
The Principal George Street - absolutely amazing hotel! For lunch on the last day I thought we would treat ourselves to a 'posh' lunch as we haven't eaten out like this since my birthday when we went to Heston's in London. I struggled to find what accolade
The Wedgewood has but it's close to a Michelin star.

Coca Baked Carrots with Bresaola |
For starters I had coca backed carrots with bresaola. It was nice nice with homemade bresaola. I did think halfway through carrots are not my favourite vegetable but this dish did do it justice.

Pork Belly |
Main course was amazing it was pork belly with a croquette of pork with a jus, and an impressive cracking which cracked away as I was eating the dish.
I never usually go for cheese, usually because I'm to full or the desserts are too good to turn down! I was just getting over a cold so I wasn't feeling anything sweet for £5 I got the Scottish cheese board. I liked all of the cheeses (ev
en the blue) and demolished the whole board! I've popped a photos of the board as well as the type of cheeses I had, they all were quite strong but lovely!
